The Corporal and I got together to kick off the weekend and brought the Pickle and Pepperoni Pizza to life. We were quite successful. Thank you Corp for making it a truely Italian experience by thinking of the Peroni and chocolate marble-thing cheese cake. Nice touch.

4 layers of pizza ingredients paying homage to the nearly 4 decades of the union of Ken and Mary who when they first began dating and did pizza nights with Chef Boyarde pizza kits were using pickles as a topping at my Dad's insistance. Starting with layer #1 a Boboli whole wheat crust (also, try Mama Mary's crusts [they have a thin crust version]) and a sauce made with tomato sauce, some tomato paste, Emeril's Italian, and crushed red pepper and a little scattering of 6-cheese italian cheese that was mixed with brucsheta seasoning and pepper. Layer #2a and #2b contained pepperoni slices and bread and butter-style pickle slices in a patented double-varied stacking order with another dusting of cheese. Layer #3 an s-ton of cheese mixture. And layer #4 of sliced red onion, colossal black olives (sliced), and a light dusting of cheese.
