12:22 PM >> Raisin Port

On December 23rd I bottled my Raisin Port. The port was the first wine that I made using the Vintners Best wine making kit I received for my birthday. The fruit I used to make the wine was the Zante currant (Vitis vinifera). For Christmas family member received bottles and I took up a bottle that we could sample. My parents were very impressed with the flavor. It's sweet. According to my father it warms you right up. It also makes him "dizzy". My mother claims that it rivals Chateau Elan's sweet wines that she loves so much.



I opted not to make up a fancy label because I was very nervous whether or not it would be drinkable. So I just slapped on some sticker labels and wrote simply >> Raisin Port, December 2007. My meanie-head brothers added their own to one of the labels when I was out of the room.

Welcome to my dinner. Pay your admission at the door. Grab a fork and a knive and a knapkin.

It's this a smoked turkey sausage with built in cheddar pods, some homemade chili, some added shredded cheddar, some store bought sweet slaw, onion slices, ground jalapeno, and of course the spicy brown.
