10:39 PM >> Thurzday concoctions

Today I concoted two things that I'd like to share.

1) FRENCH VANILLA BERRY SPRITE
Taking notes from the very handy little booklet found at QuikTrip to guide customers through their fountain, smoothie, and beverage suicide mixtures that are possible I created the FVBS using the Chocolate Berry Sprite as my inspiration.

The hot chocolate machine was Out of Order so I opted to use the French Vanilla Cappucino thing instead as my base. Then I added some Black Cherry Freezoni and topped it off with Sprite. I use definitely more than half of the Black Cherry just because the machine was hard to cut off with the small cup I was using. But no worries. The mixture I ended with turned out awesome.

This combo was awesome. I give it 7.45 out of 10 16oz plastic fountain cups.

NOTE: The other night for dinner I had one of QT's microwave sandwiches (setting #4). It was Chicken Teriyaki with Provolone. I enjoyed it. Mainly cause it only cost $1.69. But it was pretty good. And it was served on a bagel like bun, not a hamburger like bun.

2) BBQ BEER BOILED KEILBASA ONION AND BEAN SOUP
Chopped up beer boiled and grilled Polish kielbasa, sauteed onions, great northern beans, quick cooking buckwheat, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and a generous squirt of BBQ sauce in a Miller High Life broth.

Rating: 8.34

NOTE: This post contains various portions of my stove and some before unfeatured kitchen items like my pot and my wooden spoon.

8:27 AM >> Food for a night

Last nightly I ate and created the following:

>> from the japanese restaurant - eel sushi, octopus sushi, a bowl of cold soup that had tuna, buckwheat noodles, and some mushy looking white stuff that looked like grits but was actually some kind of mountain radish or something. it was pretty good. i also sampled some japanese dumpling - great. some seared tuna - not that excellent. and a sushi crunch roll - that was pretty tasty, with neat texture. Oh, yeah, I sampled some one's shrimp tempura - i liked that.

>> at home the same evening i made up some pumpkin seeds, sweet pumpkin seeds. i added honey, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar. then i baked that stuff in the oven. and i finished off the cooking in the microwave. i had the seeds in this tupperware thing for my microwave cooking. after taking it out of the micro I started shaking it up vigorously. because of the heat messing with the molecular structure or something. the plastic shrunk or whatever and it just popped off in mid-shake. 1/5th of my seeds went down the kitchen drain. i really like them though. oh yeah, at the last ten minutes or so of oven cooking i added in some quick cooking oats. i bet the whole thing would be excellent with milk - pumpkin seed cereal.

up here at work today we have 3 total boxes of cereal to snack on. they are from the post cereal line: fruity pebbles, cocoa pebbles, marshmallow mania mebbles. there is also a gross sounding fiesta pebbles in the line. sounds gross and i love mexican food. history of post cereals. A little about Mr. C. W. Post.

Julius Caesar at Google Print.

I don't really see the point yet of Google Print. Here's another online link where you can view all of JC by Shakes in it's entirety. I think GoogPrint just allows you to search around in books that are out there on the Internet. I haven't found a use for it yet. I'm sure it's there though if the GooGuys are behind it. They are geniuses. They are. rEALLY, Really, no they are. They're great. They're smart. And they're not working for the government like Corporal thinks. Come on corporal. Come on. Really.

11:26 PM >> pi

If you ask me, somewhere out there is a computer owned by the guv'ment that has been computing the full value of pi since the mid-70s. I just wonder how they keep upgrading it without stopping the calculation.
