Grilled cheese ain't just American. The French have been doing it too. Goes great with a refreshing cold dram of Pernod, which is a sister to the banned absinthe sans wormwood.

Here's the lo-do (or low-down as they say, I say lo-do [low dough]):
Slices of bread brushed with olive oil, sprinkled with pepper, roasted garlic powder, and basil. And then covered with sauteed onions and asiago cheese. Baked in the oven.
